Pilot who fired on the USS Liberty was fired for protesting the bombing of Palestine

it is interesting that  Yiftah Spector the lead pilot who attacked the USS Liberty in 1967 was fired in 2003 from his position as a Reserve Brigadier General because he signed a petition in which they said they no longer wanted “to obey illegal and immoral orders”. They said they  refused “to take part in aerial raids against populated civilian  centers” in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. “The continuation of the occupation endangers the security of the state of Israel, as well as its moral fiber.”
