IF there was a real attack on NK the US would send B-1 bombers into bomb NK. NK knows this. PROBLEM when the US does its “practice drills” they also fly B-1 bombers over South Korea which given all the fire and fury talk, could be interpreted as an attack the next time is occurs. Their reaction could be to retaliate. The US could claim oh it was just a drill and then have its pretext for war. We all know gosh darn well that if any country flew B-1 bombers or anything capable of delivering nukes near the US it would be blown out of the sky drill or no drill. But via American exceptionalism it’s OK if the US does it after threatening to use nuclear weapons.

In my mind the US is hyping his up to justify spending for this year’s NDAA. South Korean and Japanese media are treating this with with a yeah yeah you always say that attitude. But it’s this kind of saber rattling the bumbles one head first into a real war.
