Re: Media Ignore The Fact About Failed Times Square Car Bombing
Pakistan's Talaban denies it and only an Israeli run website is claiming that Pak-Talaban ever claimed to have done the bombing but the voice confession has not been authenticated because it isn't authentic.

Ok, guys. Either my pregnancy has made my brain completely funkdafied, or the story on this incident has changed several times. First, there was a suspicious white dude at the scene shedding his shirt nearby the abandoned SUV. Then the story about Shahzad came out. They said he had a wife and something like a master's degree--everything going for him. Now they are saying he was living single in Connecticut without a job for months. Is anyone caching this tabloid crap?! I hope so. Please, someone!!!! I would do it if I knew how, but I am computer illiterate!

IN THIS STORY, HE HAS A WIFE--NO INDICATION OF DIVORCE OR ANYTHING--AND A DIVORCE WOULD CERTAINLY BE MENTIONED IF THEY DUG UP HIS RECORDS TO FIND HIS MARRIAGE LICENSE. I suppose they could be separated, but this story makes it seem like they are still together. So, maybe she failed to update her facebook page??? Dunno, this stuff just doesn't add up:
Who is Huma Mian? Wife of Faisal Shahzad, Times Square bomb suspect
By Issam Ahmed – Wed May 5, 1:53 pm ET
Lahore, Pakistan – Pakistani authorities have arrested several members of the family of Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, including his father-in-law, Iftikhar Mian.
News reports in the US initially suggested a possible Colorado connection between Shahzad’s wife, Huma Mian, and Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan national who pleaded guilty to a foiled New York subway attack. But attention in Pakistan has turned to a small, peaceful village on the outskirts of Peshawar where Mr. Shahzad grew up.
Residents in Mohib Banda, population 10,000, described Shahzad’s family as well respected and middle class in interviews given to Pakistani media, while some suggest he has been framed.

“The entire family is highly educated and enlightened. The villagers don’t believe that Shahzad could act in such a manner,” Kifayatullah Khan, a lawyer, told Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper.
Part of this disbelief may stem from Shahzad’s privileged background as the son of a retired Pakistan Air Force air vice marshal.
A senior Air Force officer told the Monitor that Shahzad’s father, Baharul Haq, is “worried and depressed” and has left his home in a posh area of Peshawar to avoid the media. “If his son has done something wrong, it is nothing to do with the PAF [Pakistan Air Force]. We have no concerns with that boy – he is a civilian and a US citizen.”
Meanwhile, Shahzad’s wife, Huma Mian, and their two young children are believed to be currently in Pakistan. Fox News reported Tuesday that Mian has relatives listed at several addresses in Aurora, Colo. – the same town Afghan national Najibullah Zazi and relatives lived in between January 2009 and July 31, 2009. Attorney General Eric Holder told a press conference: “I don't have any basis to believe at least at this point that there's any connection between the two.”
Huma Mian's father detainedThe Dawn newspaper reports that Shahzad's father-in-law, Iftikhar Mian, was picked up by Pakistan intelligence agents in Karachi Wednesday. US and Pakistani media report that Shahzad moved his family to Karachi in 2009.
On Oct. 20, 2008, he reported to US authorities his marriage to a woman he identified as Huma Asif Mian, an American citizen.
Colorado University officials confirm that Huma Asif Mian attended the university in Boulder from 2000 to 2004 and graduated with a degree in accounting. But she appears to have left Colorado in 2005.
Her profile on orkut.com shows photos of her husband and one child (reports say they have a son and daughter) in a pink bunny outfit. Under the picture of her husband, she writes "what can I say ... he's my everything."
Mian wrote that her passions are "fashion, shoes, bags, SHOPPING!! AND of course Faisal."
Pakistani media report that Shahzad got his US citizenship by marrying Mian, and that, while her father got his master's degree at the Colorado School of Mines in 1980, the family has roots in Mardan, a city in northwest Pakistan.
In 1998, Shahzad got a student visa in the US and later attended the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, where he received a B.A. in computer science and engineering. In April 2002, he was granted an H1-B visa for skilled workers and three years later earned an MBA at the University of Bridgeport.
It's not clear when or where Shahzad met his wife, but US authorities don't consider her a suspect.
Backlash for Pakistanis?Shahzad’s leap from a quiet suburban existence in Connecticut, where he held a good job with a financial marketing company, to high-profile terror suspect, has worried many ordinary Pakistanis, who now fear a US backlash.
“They are going to come down on us with a ton of bricks now,” says Gul Bukhari, a freelance writer in Lahore who occasionally travels to the United States to visit family. Pakistanis are often subjected to greater scrutiny while traveling to the United States and many face problems obtaining visas. Many feel that US scrutiny is set to increase.
Others suggest the Mr. Shahzad may have been “framed” by the United States so that it can exert more power over Pakistan. “It all seems too easy. Why would Shahzad leave without completing the job?” asked Shazaib Hassan, a small-business owner in Lahore.
But Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Wednesday that no links have yet been established between Shahzad and any terror groups, adding he will investigate whether the plot is in fact a “conspiracy” against Pakistan.

NEW YORK – Investigators of the failed car bombing in Times Square are looking for a money courier they say helped funnel cash from overseas to finance a Pakistani-American's preparations to blow up the crude gasoline-and-propane bomb in the heart of New York, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
Investigators have the name of the courier who they believe helped Faisal Shahzad pay for the used SUV and other materials to rig up a car bomb that would have caused a huge fireball in Times Square if it had gone off, the official told the AP. The official didn't know how much money may have changed hands.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity Thursday because of the sensitivity of the investigation.
U.S. law enforcement officials traveled to Pakistan — where Shahzad spent five months before returning to the U.S. in February — to question four alleged members of an al-Qaida-linked militant group. Investigators are trying to trace his movements in his homeland and looking into the possible financing of the operation between the Pakistan-born budget analyst and foreign terror groups.
Shahzad, 30, who remains in custody on terrorism and weapons charges, lived alone in a Bridgeport, Conn., and rented an apartment with no apparent job since February. He is seen on videotape buying boxes of fireworks from a Pennsylvania store and authorities say he bought a rifle in Connecticut over the past three months with no apparent source of income.
He paid for the used SUV with 13 $100 bills, authorities say, then tried to blow up the vehicle in Times Square on Saturday. A T-shirt vendor saw smoke coming from the SUV and alerted police.
Officials have been investigating if Shahzad got money from militant groups, including the Pakistani Taliban, which originally claimed responsibility for the bombing attempt then backed off that claim.
Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Friday he believed Shahzad did not act alone, but he had seen no evidence suggesting the Pakistan Taliban were involved.
"All those leads, suggesting it was his own action, I will not accept that. I'd like to see details," Malik told reporters in Beijing. "Obviously, he had bought a vehicle filled with explosives. It looks a bit difficult (to say) that he's (working) alone."
A Pakistani Taliban spokesman said Thursday the group had nothing to do with the attempted bombing, but added: "Such attacks are welcome."
"We have no relation with Faisal. However, he is our Muslim brother," Taliban spokesman Azam Tariq told the AP in Pakistan by telephone from an undisclosed location. "We feel proud of Faisal. He did a brave job."
The group has never launched a successful terrorist attack against the United States.
Since his arrest Monday, Shahzad admitted to the failed bombing and has cooperated in the investigation, authorities say. He has not yet appeared in court.
Still, police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said investigators want to find out if "what he's saying is in fact the truth."
"We are directly looking at who did he have contact with while in Pakistan, what did he do, who is supporting him and why," State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said.
In Karachi, Pakistan, both U.S. and Pakistani officials questioned four alleged members of the Jaish-e-Mohammad militant group, two Pakistani security officials told the AP, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media. The militant group is believed to have been established by Pakistani intelligence agencies, and has been linked to the al-Qaida terror network and the 2002 killing of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

I particularly love the part in the second article where it says that "THE GROUP HAS NEVER LAUNCHED A SUCCESSFUL ATTACK AGAINST THE US"
Um, oops! Gee, I thought Bin Laden was behind 9-11. Weren't "Islamist terrorists" the ones who bombed WTC?! The media can't even keep track of their giant web of lies. This is just getting sloppy!

"Oh, and we really need to come down on the people who gave this guy, what, $2,000?, to carry out this attack!" Let's try to itemize: 1) 36 crappy M88 fireworks $20, 2) Propane tank $100-$200 at the most, 3) 1993 Nissan Pathfinder $1300 in Benjamins, 4) alarm clocks $10 each at the most? I came up with about $1,440 to $1,540. And they are thinking he couldn't have possibly acted alone?! What will they think of next?!

Re: Media Ignore The Fact About Failed Times Square Car Bombing
That was Al Qaeda (allegedly) not the Taliban. The two are quite different. Yet the US invaded Afghanistan anyway to fight the Taliban because the media mixed thew two. Then they invaded Iraq which was Baathist not Al Qaeda but the media mixed the two again. All that is needed to make a group the same as terrorists in the US is for them to be brown and Muslim.Um, oops! Gee, I thought Bin Laden was behind 9-11. Exactly my point too. The media mixes them both, tries to tie them together, and generalizes.....then they admit that the Taliban has never led a successful attack on the US--but this is out of sheer pride and arrogance. *Oops!*
However, we all know that when 9/11 comes up as a topic, they throw Taliban and Al-Qaeda together like they are the same organization in order to get dumb, fascist americans to support it! (And we all know that they do)
