All true. But let's stick to the original point: Where are the good Republicans? And not "good" in that they've adopted some liberal policies (Arlen Specter, John McCain) but good in that they've stayed true to Republican values.
I can't say I appreciate the Republican values post-Guilded Age because they started to worship industry. Before that.. they were essentially what modern day (American) Libertarians are. So I can't really say I like "true" modern day Republicanism but it sure beats the hell out of Neocon cronyism. That is to say, I favor Pat Buchanan before I favor Bill Frist, Tom Delay, or Karl Rove. Buchanan is what I guess they consider the "Old Right" which is a whole hell of a lot better than this new muderous trend.
I guess it's the Republican fusion of pseudo-Christianity with authoritarianism, a favoring of industry over the environment and a violent, crony profiteerism foreign policy that pisses me off. If you can find a Republican that is none of these things (essentially a Libertarian) then I can see an ally who I indeed would vote for over your average Democrat. Ry tends to promote Ron Paul. I don't know much about him.

He's okay, I guess. MUCH better than your average Republican.

Render unto Cesar that which he has rendered unto you - hardship, imprisonment, torture, and eventual death. Fuck Cesar. Let him be hanged.
