I get you Tote :D Defeatism creates defeat, which is why people are so fucking complacent. "This is just how it is, there is nothing we can do to stop the all powerful government." This is why I always say it'll be conservatives who step up to the plate (with their rifles) to take back our government. Liberals are big whiny victims who need rescuing.

Sometimes it's the threat of being dis-empowered that empowers, and I agree with Ry that Bush is making a mistake. His bullying is going to egg us on.

I know I'm not doing enough - but its not for fear of being arrested or having my property taken away (which I am not in the slightest bit attached to anyway. I would love to be free of our stupid real estate investments. Take them away PLEASE). I'm just avoiding being inconvenienced. I don't have time to fit being arrested into my daughter's schedule. I would have to arrange babysitters first. It makes me tired just to think about it. :D

But....I'm beginning to think that if I fail to get arrested over this crap that is happening, maybe its because I'm not pushing hard enough. I need more of a "bring it on" attitude. A little inconvenience can go a long way. My daughter will better off for it as well.

__________

I'm off to sleep - I just got back from a horrible gig. I never play casinos because casinos SUCK but this one is a few blocks away from my house and I thought what the heck, how bad can it BE? There was this irritating, drunk and stupid (!!!) woman who asked us to play disco all night. SHe actually requested "disco inferno." I asked her if she'd ever heard an acoustic version of this song and she just looked at me with glazed over mint julep eyes. Yep, life is good.

He's saying no material support for the insurgency, which would be legit if we actually declared war on them but nonetheless it's hardly anything new.
This order is very vague and open to interpretation, just like everything else coming out of Bush's brain. It's the "services rendered" to one who this act is prohibiting that is being interpreted as "protest". Bush is a fascist prick. There is nothing beneath him. The ZIonists are moving on attacking Iran, and I believe they are putting up safeguards because believe it or not, they are afraid of the PEOPLE. So just in case the complacent American public is jolted awake with this nuclear threat they are trying to cover their sorry asses. The chance of this executive order ever being used is about as big as the chance of Americans protesting en masse. It's looking good for us alright. Just stay home and do nothing and nobody will lose their property. :D

Start stocking up, guys... We have all heard of many unconstitutional laws come into place but have not heard of any of them (much) being used by the government & police. There will have to be another 9/11 type thing ("it was done by homegroen muzlims and communists and they communicated through the internets") and then BANG police state - a total lock down.
Well that's what I'm thinking at the moment.
