Thoughts on impeachment

Post by Left of Larry » Wed Jan 03, 2007 9:05 am

I know the radical left and others are calling for Bush's impeachment. After much consideration and thought on the matter, I'm not so sure this is a good idea. This is why, the mastermind behind the war in Iraq was not Bush....it was Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and the other handful of rats within PNAC. Impeaching Bush would elevate Cheney to Commander in Chief. Is this really a good thing? I don't think that Cheney should have the ultimate power...here....any thoughts?

You are completely right, actually you just hit the nail on the head I think. Doesn't it seem like the neo-cons want Bush impeached as well? I mean they probably are prepared for if he is ever impeached. All of the government needs to be replaced with another government that isn't so based on Greed, but that will not happen anytime soon

I thought of this myself but i have been seeing lately flyers/posters saying impeach the Bush Admin not Bush himself. That of course is not likely. Besides Pelosi is a stupid broad, she aint gonna listen to the people.

I'm thinking criminal legal proceedings. There has to be something in the law that says a high ranking government official can be arrested for treason. Because this is exactly what this is...treason.

Anytime someone tries to do that they are shut out and action is placed against them. If you try and do that watch your back, all they have to do is commit a false flag and say it was you and say you converted into "radical Islam". They will then say you are brainwashed and dangerous and execute you.

Or they could just lkill you and say someone tried to rob you.

I'm not trying to say everything's hopeless, i'm just saying that if we want to do something like that we would have to stick together and fight. We would also have to be strong and undivided.

I agree...but we need a bold congress to push this forward as well.

He may have not thought of the plan to invade Iraq but he acted upon it so that still is no excuse for what he had done. Also initiating impeachment would include the vice president so we have no worries of him coming to power.
impeach the entire government and start over with a new constitution that's pro humanity and anti zionist, thoughts?
The Constitution is as pro humanity as it gets. Its the fact that the government no longer abides by it that should be the problem.

I thought impeachment proceedings only dealt with the presidence office.

The vice president is still an effective part of the executive office and can be impeached at the same hearing as the president.

"The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." - Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution
