Help.
Can anyone shed light on why youtube videos are running so slowly for me? Is anyone else having this problem?
I have a very fast internet connection as is the way in this country but youtube is ridiculously slow even when watching low quality videos. Vimeo is fine, I can watch HD quality videos no problem. Youtube jsut seems to be getting more and more annoying tehse days...

So it's not just me! I've been wondering if something was wrong with my connection but it's only youtube. It's been slow for me for about 2 weeks. Probably all those damn ads they've been stuffing on there.

Youtube has always been annoying to me. And, I have to delete cookies and clear browser cache often so that many sites will load as quickly as they should. It seems odd that cookies would be a problem but, they most definitely are. One other thing that is helpful for me is to reboot my DSL modem. For Windoze ewesers, rebooting and deleting the gazillions of temp file droppings is a given. Also, make sure you are running the latest version of the piece of shit flash player. HTML5 video is coming.
Most of the time, I just download Youtube videos as FLV or MP4 and watch the with any number of non-M$/Apple/Shit media players like VLC without the bullshit stalls and stutter of streaming. Of course, you can always pause the video and wait until it has completely downloaded to watch. If you still have issues, it's probably a Windoze/flash thang.

I don't have the problem with Opera in Linux (4 windows, 92 tabs open) but, I do have the problem in Windoze (1 window, 15 tabs open).
