Re: Disturbing, underreported story
as another flashback from the otherside of the pond perhaps this newest case in the UK is another surfacing of some of the same peoples connected in the underground network that was part of the the Dutroux Affair.

The hard core consisted of about forty people, at most. There were a few hundred blackmail victims, perhaps thousands. What I find most serious is that these people have kept quiet. What did they do that was so bad? They slept a few times with a 15- or 16-year-old girl sometimes not even consciously and they know that there are photos (Note that some of the victims were much younger children). Why don't they speak? Why don't they help?"

Re: Disturbing, underreported story
With this huge pedophile scandal being exposed I remember back when that pervy looking Alberto Gonzalez was Attorney General he was emphasizing the DOJ's efforts to protect children from sexual exploitation and how that was one of his main concerns and a major reason why the gov't needed the right to access email. I remember thinking at the time it was probably a cover so they could access all the kiddy porn they could get under the guise of crime fighting. Now I'm starting to wonder if it may have also been a means to protect those who were engaging. He who controls the investigations decides who will or won't be a target.
Re: Disturbing, underreported story
FYI, George Galloway replied to my email with some useful information.
Re: Disturbing, underreported story
here's his email.
Bonus points for George.Dear Alan
I have read the reports about the Hollie Greig case, and in
particular those in the Aberdeen Press and Journal. It does seem that
Hollie has suffered grievously. In Scots' law there needs to be
independent corroboration, the lack of which is the reason, the Crown
Office say, for not bringing prosecutions. Obviously I haven't seen
the relevant papers so I can't make a judgment on that. I also have a
difficulty taking this up as a Member of Parliament as I don't
represent the area and the authorities would not be bound to
co-operate with me. Perhaps the best move for Hollie and her mother is
to launch a private prosecution against those she claims are
responsible. It would then all be ventilated in court.
I will continue to look into this case.
Best wishes
GG

I think she needs to narrow it down to just the sheriff and her dad. Take them down one by one.
