WellI am afraid there is little we can do other than exspose this. I hope the entire Middle East will rise up this time and ignore America, they should go to the root of the problem, Israel. Someone lob a missile into the nukes they made illegally and destroy them.

If Lebanon can put up a good enough fight Israel wont be able to stretch its public support to fight Iran or Syria. The best hope is for the Israeli people to revolt. It would be the best thing for the Jews to show that they are not all ZIonists and that they are as sick of their government as we are of ours.

No sooner can I report the AIPAC trial date then the Judge moves it for the 3d time! The new date has not been announced it seems like it could be in October.

They know they are racing against time. Israel's days of controlling the US are numbered.

Israel has already killed more than 10 times the amount of people that hizballah did. It doesn't matter what their population is because they are ALL military soldiers! And they have the U.S. backing them up with weapons. I hope Im wrong, but the Usrealis are gonna kick everybody's behinds, even if the whole mideast gangs up on them. Unless they get russia nad china and japan to help (never), they don't have a chance!

It looks like a 230 to 34 slaughter. Actually they have only killed 30 Hezbollah soldiers and they have lost 24 of their own. The fight is about even now aside from Israel killing civilians. Israel is trying to provoke a terrorist attack.

Hezbollah already beat Israel once in 1982 and forced them withdraw.

Blatant stalling tactics. Probably why they had to get this war started..hell I wouldn't put it past them to have done it as a diversion. lol

Have you noticed how the Israeli spokespeople doing the media circuit have and air of controlled frenzy in common?

It still amazes how few Americans know this. Mention it and they stare at you like you're the stupid one.

A Dangerous Precedent has been set

Post by African Warrior » Thu Jul 20, 2006 9:22 pm

A dangerous precedent has been set in that the Bush administration has showed unwavering support for the latest Israeli incursion into Lebanon.

In the last six years, the Sudanese government has waged a genocidal campaign against the people of Darfur. This campaign was ignited by a number of rebel assaults on government military bases in Darfur and in adjacent provinces. The greivances of these rebels is racism and exclusion by the government and a monopoly on the national interest and resources, namely oil. Chinese and Russian support for the government has allowed them to act with impunity in a "anti-terror campaign" that has displaced over two million people and estimated to have claimed nearly a half million lives.

To many challenges regarding the humanitarian crisis in Sudan (and the refugees in Egypt, Chad, Ethiopia and other neighboring countries), the President of the dictatorship often cites Israel as a comparable equivalent, and the Lebanese campaign has set a dangerous precedent. Again, we see a small rebel faction attacking a state institution, a rebel faction that has reputable and significant greivances against the state, but that has never had their role as victims to globalism and colonialism address by the greater international community. Again, we see a peoples rising to incite violence, "terror" as the organized state would call it, in order to shift the balance of power. Colin Powell said it best when he called war "organized state violence", bringing it to the level of any other violence, whether ordained by the public opinion of the state or not.

But, ultimately, the idea of collective punishment, massive bombardment, "shock and awe", "smoke them out of their hole", and "hunt them down like dogs" will create the most instability in the Middle East in twenty years. But, ultimately, the question is the acceptance of state interest over human life. The Russian head of state, Putin, denounced the use of "excessive force" in Lebanon by the Israeli government, but the Russian campaign in Chechnya is one of the highlights of Osama bin Laden's cases for waging Jihad against the West. The Invasion of Iraq, the Chinese policy in Tibet, the Pakistani and Indian policies in the border provinces of Gujarat, Punjab and Kashmir, the Kurdish minorities of Iran, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and the Caucus Region, the Roma people of the Hungarian highlands, and the Celts in France and Spain are just a few of the groups that are the victims of "excessive force" and "anti-terror campaigns" to destroy the capability of said groups to crippled the state, or the state interest which they oppose.

While the days of arming the Ayatollah and Saddam Hussein, Contra scandals and Hmong genocidal campaigns in response to the Vietnam War was seemed far behind us, a new series of humanitarian crimes are occurring right before our eyes, without even a veil of deceit to hide the gruesome truth, that we, as Americans, as Europeans, as Israelis, as Democrats and Republicans, as capitalists, as socialists, do not value life. As post-apartheid policy continues to weigh heavily on poverty in South Africa, where nearly half of the population lives in poverty, as Somalia continues to fall further into chaos with fundamentalist Islamic militias taking control of the entire country and the Ethiopian military moving into the North just to maintain the transitional government in exile, as rapes, murders, mutilation and displacement still occurs in Congo, Sudan, Liberia with less international troops in those countries than America has patrolling the Syrian-Iraqi border, the latest current events only further reveal the truth, which we will all have to come to terms with in the future as an entire generation will die in resistance to violation of their human rights.

dangerous precedent

Post by hopeforjustice » Thu Jul 20, 2006 11:18 pm

The middle east crisis always catches the attention of the western world because they have vested interests in that region.

But we shouldn't ignore all similar accounts that are occuring all over the world. The chechyns, the bosnians, rwanda, uganda and sudan and the list goes on.

It kind of seems hopeless. I am used to seeing the muslims being oppresssed and killed. When I saw what the muslims were doing in sudan it made me so angry that I was ashamed to have them be associated with me in that sense. And many muslims feel as I do.

Where are all those rich arab leaders in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar? They are probably too busy counting all their money!
