Going to the West Bank, be back in a month
Going to the West Bank, be back in a month
I am leaving this Saturday to Ramallah, Palestine to volunteer with Birzeit University in their International Summer Volunteers Work Camp.
The activities include (among other things) visits to various Palestinian cities and villages (including those most affected by the illegal Israeli apartheid wall), and refugee camps to meet with community leaders, learning about various violations of the Israeli military occupation, and assisting communities in carrying out small activities such as cleaning, planting and construction as per each community’s needs. You'll experience first-hand the difficulties faced by Palestinians on a daily basis under the illegal Israeli military operation (like for example the difficulties of mobility). Attending lectures by Palestinian intellectuals, academics, politicians.
If you are interested in gaining even more knowledge about the Palestinian situation consider volunteering with the camp next year.
Respect,
Sam

Be very Careful Sam, we will wait to hear from you as you are able to write.
In this media blitz that today we call cyberspace, so much alternative information is presented by clever poseurs on all levels claiming that it’s not Jews, it’s Zionists; it’s not Jews, it’s Neocons; it’s not Jews, it’s Communists; it’s not Jews, it’s the Illuminati. Wise up, my friend. All of those labels are synonyms for Judaism, which is not really a religion, but a crime scheme. It gives one demonstrably insane group of people the right to rob and kill everyone else, and they’ve been so clever at it FOR FIVE THOUSAND YEARS, most people don’t even notice
birzeit university?! thats like so hard to get into now.
o and a tip make sure that you dye your hair dark, dont stare at women and dont show the soles of your shoe.
these are the consequences if you violate any one of these.
blonde hair- you will be considered a jewish settler and will be beaten.
staring at women- brothers and relatives of girl will beat you
showing soles of shoe- this is a show of disrespect and could start some problems.
these are some things i witnessed when i visited my homeland.
also make sure you always have your passport!!!!

thats doesnt happen to often but i still stongly suggest that mindgames dye his hair dark because my grandfather is blonde and blue eyed and when he went to palestine he was almost killed because everyone thought he was jewish. if i had blonde hair i'd play it safe and dye it.
mindgames take lots of pictures for me.
I got a few of the wall from when I was there. Hey tell them about anti-neoocons.com

That was an an odd post by "Nasser". I have traveled in the West Bank, and am brown haired and blue eyed, couldn't pass for a Palestinian if I wanted to. Actually I was quite aprehensive about traveling there but was treated with nothing but courtesy.
The Palestinians I met were civil, courteous and sophisticated in their world view.
It's strange that an Arab or someone of Arab descent would perpetuate an insulting stereotype!
