Henry Ford's "The International Jew"

Post by Corey Michael » Mon Sep 10, 2007 12:33 am

I was just wondering if anyone has studied it. I recently read an article in one of my old U.S. History textbooks, by a guy with a very Jewish name, who called Ford anti-semitic quite a bit. "The International Jew" was a series that ran in Ford's newspaper for about a year or so. I definitely see where people get off by calling him anti-semitic, because he made the same mistake people still make today, by calling them Jews (religion), rather than Zionists (politics).

I was just wondering, especially since Ry has the history background, what other people think about it.

I wish I had the time to read up on the series, but I am moving into an ass kicking semester of 4 grad classes.

Check it...

He didn't make a mistake, he meant Jews not Zionists. Zionists were almost non existent in the US back then. Zionism isn't the only reason the "anti-semites" don't like, or used to not like, Jews.

Yea. Jews were definitely in control of alot of financial aspects and still are. Although the religious conflicts are part of the reason Jews went into that business, I don't see any reason to refer to them as Jews because their religion has little to do with the identification of their business. There are people involved who are not Jews. So, calling them "International Jews" doesn't precisely identify the entire scope of the issue. I simply feel as if it would be more accurate and educational/exposing to a wider audience to just identify the problem more precisely. At least, it would avoid the whole "you hate people of my religion" bullshit.

In other words, I don't think Ford's criticism had much to do with these people practicing the religion of Judaism, and more to do with their control over financial markets. Of course, I haven't had the time to read the entire series, but I'm sure I will eventually.

Well it's because being a Jew has always been considered more of an ethnicity or race, rather then belonging to a religion. It's still true these days. For example somebody in our society who hates Muslims is let off the hook because someone points out that Islam is a religion and not a race, and that you're not hating somebody because of something out of their control. But if somebody hates Jews, there's no debate about it, he's automatically a racist.

The term Zionist is too broad, & the term Zion does not have a negative connotation at all & has only been given one by the fraudulent modern day state of Israel as someone here already pointed out. It's just a way to distinguish that it's not all Jews who are involved in the international conspiracy, just like it's not all whites who are racist & wanna keep blacks down in this country or all Germans who were Nazis during Hitler's reign.

I agree with Thunk. Back home in South Dakota people would always start spouting this kind of close-minded, negative racism towards Native Americans. You could tell who thought themselves racist and who didn't, though. All you had to do is wait until the end of their tirade and if they said "there are some good ones, though..." then they are closet(to themselves) racists. Just because someone doesn't fancy themselves a bigot doesn't mean they aren't.

And I have to disagree that hating Muslims has to do with their religion. It has more to do with "Arabs" than "Muslims" and it's because, by and large, they are not a visible part of red-state America and ignorant humans generally hate(fear) that which they are not familiar with.

Thunk I think it's safe to say that you're by far the most annoying poster on this site. I lack the "capacity" to tell the difference between anti-semitism and anti-Zionism huh, how so ? I don't know what I said in this thread that made you want to bring that up. I'm saying that before Zionism became a mass movement there were a lot of people who did not like Jews, just like Henry Ford. I'll say it again because you just don't get it. I don't have a problem with the people who follow Judaism, but Zionist Jews. Because let's not beat around the bush and try to be too "politically correct" , without ethnic Jews there would be no Zionism. The churches, MIC, evangelicals, etc are all just icing on the cake.

Jews have been hated for centuries if not thousands of years. Political Zionism (PZ) didn't create hatred and prejudice against Jews. That hatred had to already be in place for political Zionism to take off. PZ couldn't exist without hatred for Jews; Jews are the perfect vulnerable "victim" that can used as both justification for waging injustice and scapegoats when the shit finally hits the fan.

Political Zionism was, at its roots, based on a literalist (fundamentalist) interpretation of the biblical Zionism. This didn't agree with MOST Jews at that time (when PZ was getting started). Most Jews were not (and still aren't) Fundamentalists in their faith, and they didn't believe Israel was intended to be a physical nation with borders (until being scared to death into believing this).

Political Zionism, like all fundamentalist religious cults or movements, was born from hatred and distrust, not love or compassion. This hatred, distrust and lack of compassion has grown into a monster as it has merged with other corrupt governments to create the Fascist Neocons. It was only a matter of time before the corruption led here, to the Neocon State that we find ourselves up against. This is the natural end of unjust means.

Most people who hate Jews probably just hate Jews, not Political Zionism. And these same idiots probably also hate black people, asians and whoever else they view as "other." This is why speaking out against the policies of Israel will get you labeled a racist. It's also how Jew hatred makes PZ the perfect cover for criminals. It works to their advantage that ignorant people believe that Jews are guilty by association. The PZ warlords count on all this to keep the fear and hatred (necessary for them to endure) going strong. Corruption attracts and encourages opportunists to use anything they must to get their way.

Ford was an uninformed idiot, who believed the disinfo and propaganda, just like most people I know.

Whether you believe that Jews are an ethnicity or not, there most certainly IS a Jewish Experience - a cultural collective experience. This to me makes being Jewish more about cultural heritage and even ethnicity than religion. There is a Jewish culture separate from religion, and it's the best part about the Jewish Experience imo. This discussion reminds me of discussions clueless white people have about black people. It is all too apparent when a person hasn't yet walked in another's shoes. Before you do, you will speak of the "other" as an object you don't understand - and, at least to those who know better, you will sound like a bigot - even if you aren't consciously feeling like one.

Just my 2 cents
