The students were ambushed by 27 police who shot up the 3 busses the college students were on, killing 4 out right. Then 43 survivors were taken in patrol cars and never seen again. This was on September 26th of this year. In 2012 2 students from the same school were killed by police one had his face peeled off.
Now drug trafficking gangs have claimed the 43 students were handed to them and killed and that the order came down from the mayors wife. Two mass graves were found but none of the dna matches any of the students, which brings to mind who are these mass graves?
Right now all of Mexico is full of protests. Some buildings have been burned as well as cars. The school the students were from is very politically active and organizes a lot of protests. All of the 43 students taken are males.
One of the police was taken hostage and then released. Mexico's president and attorney general have said they are dedicated to finding the 43 students and have arrested 20 crooked cops, taken their phones and looking for connections to gangs in that area who are para-military and in bed with at least low level politicians, police and former law enforcement.
