Russia says has no plans to use military force in Syria

Post by Xed » Mon Aug 26, 2013 10:39 am

Aug 26 (Reuters) - Russia has no plans to be drawn into a military conflict over Syria and armed intervention would not end the Middle Eastern country's civil war, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday.

"We have no plans to go to war with anyone," Lavrov told a news conference when asked what Russia would do if the West attacked military infrastructure in Syria.

When false religion is established, when all avenues of protest are closed, when potential revolutionaries are bribed, coopted or killed, then Hussein's model teaches man to be a martyr, and by his death witness to the truth and shake the evil empire:

"It is an invitation to all ages and generations that if you cannot kill, die".

- Ali Shariati

100% sure if Israelis have a chance at getting killed the US is not going to allow it so if Assad can say we will attack israel if the US touches us they assure the US wont touch them. If however Assad attacks Israel first then the US absolutely will demolish Syria from the air and all the pride in the world is not going to stop superior technology. This is why Assad has not attacked Israel and can not attack Israel. But if the US attacks Syria anyway then Syria is going to throw everything at Israel because they might as well go down with them.

I'm sure syria will use this or another tactic that will reshuffle everything in the middle-east. There is no way a country like syria that has fought for 2 years against some of the most well equipped and brutal thugs will just hang it's neck in the noose.

I think syria can fend for itself. Russia may not be willing to be drawn into a war but i bet they'll send material and advisors.

How is Russia supposed to help there is no invading army these are mercenaries that go into the cities without uniforms and start terrorizing people. Its not an army its a bunch of terrorist embedded in the city that they have to root out there is no quick way to do it other than to kill them the problem is they can be replaced indefinitely since they are foreigners. Syria cannot cross into Turkey to go after them or Jordan. The most Russia can do is what they already did, supply the Syrian government with small arms.

Russia and China will never "help" anybody.... They will only go against entities that they hold a personal stake in, be it North Ossetia or Senkaku islands or whatever.... they don't wanna go directly against the US or NATO, in order to back up some "ally" that they dont claim as their own territory.

Furthermore, even within the group of China and Russia, people need to stop dragging China's name into everything. Russia will give the West a tussle here and there, they will sell weapons to people and so on. But China has always minded its business.... they're not going to militarily intervene in Africa or the middle-east... So whatever "OMG, World War 3 is upon us!!" scenario that some people like to scream all the time, you can keep Russia and Iran part of it, but please stop including China. They don't give a fuck enuff to wage WW3 for something they dont give a fuck about.

China is playing it smart. They're not stretching their forces/empire overseas, like some people...

That's what I said (fewer words though).
