Words to four nations over Korean Peninsula tensions

Post by Phys » Thu Apr 11, 2013 8:24 am

On April 6, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed severe concern over the current tense situation on the Korean Peninsula to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon over the phone, and said Beijing "does not allow troublemaking at the doorsteps of China."

In wake of the rising tensions on the Korea Peninsula, for the regional peace and stability and to safeguard China's national interest, it is necessary to address relevant sides over the issue:

To DPRK: do not misjudge the situation

To the United States: do not add fuel to the flames

To South Korea: do not miss the focus

To Japan: do not fish in troubled water

it was a somewhat fair assessment.

What exactly were you saying earlier, Ry?

Yes to a degree. minus what you said about China siding with N. Korea.

It also doesnt negate anything I have said. In fact, it is calling N. Korea troublemakers and warns them publicly, "The situation’s development on the peninsula will not necessarily go according to the ideas and expectations of the DPRK."

China is embarrassed by N. Korea and China is the only ally to N. Korea.
China even supports sanctions on N. Korea.

I said China has no reason for unification of the Koreas because they profit the same as the US they dont give a fuck about north korea, but they are going to defend them because there is no way they will the US to be on their doorstep.

I see South Korea and Japan already on their doorstep.
But yes, if the US was the aggressor, China would likely defend, however if N.Korea keeps acting foolish China will further disown.

neither south korea nor japan border china. there a big difference from having land units next door and not having them next door. japan also by its constitution can not go to war unless it is attacked first. when japan did take manchuria it was because japan has already taked all of korea in the 1885-1905 wars. it was able to launch into china by land and sea. the us replaced japan after wwii and china promptly pushed them back.
