it is not much money at all but currently higher than zero so... that's because we depended on donations and subscribers. I know everyone likes this copyleft stuff and openly stealing and downloading things but that is exactly why no alt media will ever truly rise. They can't make a dime. By the way I don't buy that "sharing info" line either as you could just as easily just link to the original than you could to download and re-upload something on your personal page. In fact in would be much easier.
Isn't it sad that corporate media that lies over and over again has million dollar sponsors where as places that tell the truth are just expected to do it for free out of patriotism and don't have any sponsors and rely on paying out of pocket or asking for donations. Think about it.
And the hord will actually get mad at the people doing work for free like its an expectation. meanwhile they think cut and pasting a bunch of people's stuff and stealing other people's videos which took original thought and analysis is "research" no, all your doing is being an ass hole actually.
I know steve jobs said good artist copy and great artist steal. well I say that's parasitical because someone has to make what you take and they will not have incentive to do it for a long period of time if everyone just rips them off, you're killing creativity and serious research at its root.
It's one thing to download a movie that has made millions. It's anther thing to steal a person's youtube video who wont even make 2 dollars. Or a full length movie that took many years of real research that you copy in 5 minutes. I can tell you that is exactly why I dont even bother putting my JFK film online and I will never make a long movie again.

So then the question becomes, should you use your skills to make money or should you make money to use your skills? Living to work or working to live?

No that's not the question. I have to make money in order to use my skills because my skills cannot make money because a bunch of cock suckers steal my shit and post it everywhere so that now I don't even bother putting any extra effort into anything because it makes no difference from when I just do a 3 minute video with no preparation. I can not devote or justify devoting the time I'd need to a major project when its actually going to cost me money to produce it. Thousands of people see my youtube videos hundreds of thousands have seen my films. Imagine if I had gotten just a dollar from each person. I'd make over 100 thousand dollars and could quit my other jobs and devote all my time to researching and truth spreading and everyone would benefit and the lost dollar on each person would go completely unnoticed. And the next film that actually had a budget and time might even be good enough to go into a theater.
Instead I lose money and years worth of my youth making films that go out for free and hurt me later in job hunting.

Congratulations! You do put yourself out there so might as well get paid for it.
Effecting my livelihood is the one reason I don’t make videos and be more open online. I’m too involved statewide and so are my parents. Anonymity is important to me although if someone where too follow my every steps online could figure out, my name, where I live, my business, my address and phone number pretty easy but they would have to be looking for that directly versus me just making a video where they could know without doubt.
