AP reported that the kidnappers wanted the heads of Bill O Reily & Sean Hannity in return of the reporters.

Fox Reporters ought to be treated as POWs for lying.

The report I saw said they released a vague request of muslim prisoners in American prisons to be released in exchange for the release of the reporters. Considering the reports I have read of unlawful arrests going on in Iraq, this sort of reaction from the natives of that region is only to be expected. I don't defend either side as they both obviously make their own justifications for their injustices.

They should be treated as terrorists for aiding the American Empire which has no respect for law. They ought to force the FOX reporters to look at reality.

Americans have no sympathy for FOX News reporters. Finally the chicken hawks got caught and they get what they deserve.

To start with let me just say this has false flag and neo-con propaganda written all over it. Even the camera work is setup.

They are released now.

They had a vid saying they converted to Islam and were criticising the west.

They were captured by an unknown group...does that ring any bells - unknown GROUP!!!????

After being released in a wholly unbelieveavle footage that is something straight of the book of how to sensationalise an event, the camerawork was so done with a sense of urgency that it was almost laughable. I say this as a cinematographer.

After being released they said we were forced to convert(1st - you can't force anyone in Islam to convert anyway) and were made to say those things, as they were the conditions put by the kidnappers.
NOW, ask yourself this!! - why would you if you were a kidnapper make someone say something KNOWING full well that when they get released they will on go onto discredit you and your group of people anyway. They will only go onto say, 'well actually these muslims are fucked up, making us convert' My point is, you wouldn't kidnap someone to discredit your group further, it doesn't fit your interest.

I think it's counter-productive and overly self-confident to call ppl idiots for not agreeing with one's POV/assessment. That being said, I tend to agree with you Soldier Blue.
I can't recall any hostage or kidnapping where someone was forced or even pressured into converting to Islam.
Another possibility is that the guys were scared shitless and volunteered to convert to ingratiate themselves, but the "staged" theory seems more likely.
We'll see how this plays out, if the pair go on a propaganda campaign then even more credence can be given to the "staged" observation, IMO.

Does it ever cross your mind that muslims can commit acts of terrorism, your so quik to put the finger at Israel when you have no PROOF . We have proof that these jornalists were kidnapped, all the major media outlets have covered it even aljazeera .
