I teach Jujitsu formally in a class in a gym but I also teach Kick boxing and Karate out of my house. And I just teach athletes no pussies. And I teach at a pace where they're carrying heavy bags dunked in water, getting stretched in a pulley, and sparring as much as possible with people near their level, below and above it. We've owned every school in our area. Mostly because I put judo, wrestling, and a lot of original stuff in my jujitsu and in striking we win because we know real karate where as just about everyone else is trying to do normal kickboxing or Thai and that shit just doesn't work well unless the other person is doing the same thing or knows nothing at all.
And most grappling gyms suck either because they are dependent on a gi or because they do all ground training and almost nothing on the feet and so they don't have any take downs other than desperate shots at the legs which you can learn how to counter in just a couple weeks no matter how long they've been doing it.
We've got the best mix. These guys are a couple of my rookies. But the one in the black pants has already gone to three different schools and is undefeated with the exception of losing to instructors in pure jujitsu (who've been doing it for many years).
