GM declares bankruptcy

Post by Ry » Tue Jun 02, 2009 3:44 pm

After taking 20 BILLION from American tax payers and being set ot get 30 BILLION more, General Motors declared bankruptcy Monday. The justifications for bailing them out further have been to keep their employment employed. Sorry but we can't just subsidize failing business forever. That's State capitalism or communism not a free market.

GM are closing 300 dealerships in Canada, and lots of suppliers have already gone under. The government takeover of GM represents yet another step in the ruling classes plan to turn the US into a socialist/communist country.

I remember a big cheese in the Wall Street Journal gave a buy recommendation for GM about a year ago.

Well I never claimed to have a great memory. It was actually 3 years ago and was Merrill Lynch analyst John Murphy. The stock went up 8% after his buy recommendation.

Even 3 years ago it was obvious the company was toast.
