More Dems voted fot it in the senate than Republicans.

49 Dems voted for it in the sentate (only 46 R)
144 Dems voted for it in the house and 204 R

thus 3 more dems voted for it in the Senate
and 60 more repubs voted for it in the House
6R and 3D did not vote at all.

it's basically a one party system.

Independent in the house (Sanders (I-VT)) voted against it and the one in the senate (Jeffords (I-VT) actually voted for it.

I think it is cool that VT has too independents.

So more democrats in the senate voted for it than republicans in the senate??? That is really depressing.... This is our Bill of Rights here.... They extended it 10 YEARS which is basically permanent....

I align myself with the democrats, ONLY because there are some left that believe in the values I believe in. But I agree..it is a one party system. I mean..it is all business as usual...in our governmental system. The rich become richer, the poor become poorer..fuck.... Canada anyone????
REP THE STUTTER STEP THEN BOMB A LEFT UPON THE FASCISTS!! (ratm)

Like a Hawk...I am watching you, Mr. President.
