well another difference on that difference is that beliefs in god and stan are just that beliefs and can't be based on anything but faith. Where as PNAC writing War propaganda and lying to everyoine is a provable fact of the real world. But I like how you explained it, Alex and co see the world through the lens of accetable fanasty (religion).
It's lke if you got a problemwith a person and ask a cancer specialist about it they will see cancer and if you ask an immune deficiany person they will see that instead of cancer. Fortunately we tests to show who is right. That is why things have to be based in the empirical world and why we deal with theories which can be proven wrong.
I know what you mean by how people argue. I don't know if its men and women I used to think that. But I see a lot of guys making emotional arguements. It's fine to do that too depending on the topic. If tits a matter of true and not true then emotion doesn't matter. Either something happened or it didn't. However if it a matter of senament, feeling, etc then it should be emotional. People don't know how to seperate the two. I always hear the line everyone is entitled to their opinion. NO THEY AREN'T. People can have opinions about SUBJECTIVE topics but not OBJEECTIVE topics. I like Red better than Green is a subjective opinion and I could think that and someone else could say the opposite and we would both be right. The sun is bigger than the earth is an OBJECTIVE topic and it doesn't matter what someone feels about it, its a fucking fact and that's a rational arguement. It can be shown that the sun is larger.
But what I see is not so much the subjective Objective confusion or men and women difference there. what I see is the people who argue from authority vs those who can ignore authority and argue only from reason. Something in an irrational person's mind is true if it is on TV, in a book, or from an authoritative source. To a rational person something is true only if it is true, if it is understood and complies with everything else they know about the world and is tesable or probable give al of that.
And a lot of everyone are autrhoritative however of the few who are not most of them are male. That's just my experience with it, as well as my historical knowlege of it dealing with famous thinkers.
People who think that good and evil are things instead of judgments believe inpersonified creature that create them. Others just think people do thing and then we judge what was done as good or bad given values.

Ry, you really don't believe in crop circles or aliens? Really? You honestly believe that in a never ending universe like ours, where there are more planets than grains of sand on the planet earth, that we're the only life form? That's a bit ridiculous if you ask me. Some people think believing in aliens is ridiculous, I find that exact oppote to be ridiculous and also very arrogant. We're the only intelligent life form in this infinite universe huh? I laugh at that notion. The people of this planet that are so dumb they can't even stop blowing each other up with bombs are the only intelligent life form in the universe? Aliens don't exist? That just isn't possible. And you may think of crop circles as ridiculous, but explain how they got there. Have you ever examined a crop circle, looked at the perfection of one and thought about the fact that many of them appear almost instantly? How do we explain these things? Just write it off as ridiculous? I don't think that's intelligent. I think that's closed minded. Also, explain how the pyramids were built in the day and age of primitive man. Do you know how intricate and perfect those things are? Did you know they perfectly line up to star constellations and also line up to true north, not magnetic north? How did they manage all of this? I can go on and on about this but there's plenty of evidence for aliens and UFO's. I just bothers me that someone of your intelligence level is calling crop circles ridiculous. How could anybody possibly deny the existence of UFOs and aliens?

No I don't believe crop circle from from Aliens. Three of them were made buy two guys in Virginia Joey and John I know then and they did it as a prank and then it was on a TV show. That is how stupid people are.
It's not an argument about aliens existing somewhere in space its an argument about aliens existing on earth and specifically to the stupid story about crop circles.
Explain how they got there it's easy. You take a wood plank with 3 rows or more and you drag it across and walk in a circle. Do it in the middle of the night. Case solved. And no they are not nearly perfect and they do not appear instantly. You have to prove that.
You could even make one with a light. I've seen the night street lights make them in the grass by shining on them all night the plants never get the auxin they need to grow so they die. And light is as perfect a circle and the bulb it shines from. At a certain night it has had enough and the grass dies. As the sun rises and they dry out they become brown as the rest around it stays green.
