Our system has failed. The United States is a plutocracy. It may have been this way for many decades, but only now because of the internet are most people becoming aware of it. The majority of the country is and always has been anti-war. Many people realize that the war was based on lies. Internet readers knew that from the beginning. TV watchers were clueless. Our democracy does not reflect the interest of the people. Our congress is nothing but bipartisan aggression. The Democrats were elected as a majority in 2006 and have done nothing different. The leading Democrats for President Obama and Hillary both voted again and again to finance the wars just like McCain. And all three of them went running over to AIPAC the Israeli lobby that was caught spying on the US and illegally selling nuclear secrets, as soon as the nominations were set. But in Lawless America where people can be searched and arrested with no warrants and held indefinitely with no trial, the real crooks don’t go to courts or jail. They have a court cased pushed back 8 times then suspended indefinitely. The people who lied us into war go trial get convicted and then have their sentence commuted by the president. (Same thing Clinton and Bush’s father did with Iran Contra criminals.) Congress is Israeli occupied because the lobby is a wing of the military industrial complex. Their job, with their fascist Zionist ideology, is to generate conflicts, because conflicts equate to profits for the coportocracy and debt for the nation. The banks are laughing all the way to the printing press.

So how could Americans be anti-war and yet elect more pro-war hawks again and again? Simple formula. The media gives them two choices by promoting them nonstop. They can pick pro-war or very pro-war and that’s the only options. America suckers pick what they think is the lesser of two evils and get stuck with evil. One group tax and spends the other just drives up debt as Ventura would point out. The two party system is two wings of the same party, the plutocracy. Money rules politics not ideas. Ron Paul is a wonderful example of how the Media can crush a populous candidate just by saying he can’t win and then the lemmings buy that and make it true by settling for someone lesser who they are told can win (aka Obama).

The Israeli/War party wins again because no matter what, you are choosing between two of their guys. Many Obama supports hope and even believe he is lying just so that he can get elected. But his voting record stands on its own and it’s no different than the other two shills. The US is on the brink of an economic collapse. Hyper inflation in real numbers as much as 11% has devalued the dollar to the point where gas prices and other foreign goods are unbearable. Base crops are set to be converted into fuel in the middle of a global food crisis, and the housing market was attacked by predatory lending to the sub prime (more like sub broke) borrowers and then the fed just bailed out the speculators and banks with new money. It is Robin Hood in reverse as some people put it. The TV approved candidates don’t bring up these issues. The Fed is a sacred cow, they have the common people thinking that think oil rises because Arabs are angry at us, this not so. Production is at its highest levels and it’s not a result of over consumption either. (Although I agree with cutting back consumption.) No the price of oil in gold has remained constant while it has tripled in dollars and is set to go up much much more and the government continues to borrow more and more to pay for the war and all its lucrative contracts. Prices are up because the dollar is down. The dollar is down because of the hole in the boat called the war. While the press focuses on rearranging the deck chairs, below we have a gaping hole sinking the ship hurting the lower and middle class the most.

The beginning of a solution for our problems starts with the Mass Media. People can not vote about things when they have no clue what is really going on. Our media prefers to talk about celebrity gossip and wedge issues rather than reporting the news. They act as cheer leaders for the pentagon with their message force multipliers and just out right lying. The press has refused to cover massive stories but has been all too willing to cover them up.

Watching the mass media it is possible for one to believe that Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction and that the US went over there to liberate people from a dictator, that the war is going well, and the only times deaths are mentioned are when they break a new thousand and change the first digit of the number. The web has forced the MSM to report at least some actual news. According to mass media Palestine is full of terrorists and Israel is only defending itself with precision strikes and a fence that is there for security reasons. Never mind that the fence is actually a armed wall and it is not even on their border but cuts well into the west bank to to wrap around and protect internationally illegal racial colonies created by the equally illegal, immoral, and insane, house demolitions. Israel “defends” its stolen territory through collective punishment, the displacement of millions, and the deaths of tens of thousands. The MSM would make it seem like just a few dozen people all militant terrorists and all taken out form the air after rocket attacks provoked it. Riiiight and the American Indians killed their own buffalo and Custer was only defending the US by invading their land. And there was no genocide they just magically disappeared.

Revolution has to target the media. We have to vote out as much of congress as possible. We have to stop relying on the two parties. The presidential race is all but over, just don’t vote for McCain. If you live in a red state where the Christian Right rules the vote no matter what then try voting for a third party since your votes have been gerrymandered and don’t count anyway. As a Southerner I feel subjected to the tyranny of the majority and the majority is an ignoramus ultra religious mob that decides what is true based on prejudice not evidence. The mob is run by propaganda. The watered down base of a party AKA the large swath of sloganeering sheep on the dry end of the intellectual pool are what our gossip centered asinine media aims at manipulating. Why bother arguing with the informed when you can bypass those people for the heard whose members' votes count just as much as the learned. The very nature of democracy is an appeal to the lowest common denominator and that right now is really really really low. We are talking about people who could not find Afghanistan on a map or name who the speaker of the house is. Our educational system is all but a system of indoctrination and the media is there as entertainment.

To get any news one has to look for it in foreign press and to bloggers who have been more accurate and proven by the test of time to get it right when ALL the mass media was getting it wrong. But the MSM did not get it wrong. They knew it was wrong they just didn’t care. That is what they are paid to do. And if you got it wrong by WMDs its not because its was complicated its because you’re a god damn idiot. And if you are one of those hateful jack-off missile-Johnny glass parking lot types who still thinks Iraq had WMDs then that is certifiably mental. No amount of willful ignorance could cover that up. That is reaching religious like portions of denying reality for a faith based conclusion immune to all logic, reason, and evidence.

But if you were one of those people you would not even make it this far to know I’m calling you out because that would require about 40 seconds of reading non-fiction.

Fellow sane Americans, we have a multitude of problems with our system.
1 a corporate controlled lying media
2 a vast number of nearly retarded and prejudice people
3 politicians ruled by powerful lobbies and other corporate money interests
4 religions in government

How to fix it. This is not easy. I wish we could just march in the street but our non-coverage coupled with free speech zones will not allow that to be effective. It worked for Vietnam but Vietnam was not in Israel’s interest so anti-war positions could be heard.

1 The internet. We have to build up blogs, video sites, radio and other mediums with the net as the hub in order to create a corporately independent source of media. This has already been happening. But it is improving as more and more video hosting sites make it possible for bloggers to go to video.

2 Again this will take the most time. Each one teach one. The web is again our best method of education. A real zinger are the documentaries people have been made. The masses will watch films far more than they are going to read. Burning and passing out DVDs and cards with web links is a good start. Again us in the blogosphere need to promote one another not compete with each other.

3 run for office or encourage someone else to who you think would be better than what you got. Right now the web can not get one elected on the presidential level but it can have a huge impact on lower races esp local and state level or even congress.

4 I don’t care what your religion is if any at all but we have got to separate church and state because the kind of “church” that gets attention with the state is the one that promotes the state AKA the war-churches. Keep government out of religion too. It’s the Government/media giving these psycho Christians like Hagee and Robertson so much air time and attention when they should be laughed off the set. Why not have an atheist come on when one of these turkeys is on the MSM and just ruin him with embarrassment. If you have ever seen a debate between a holy roller and an atheist you know how easy it is to completely own the religious guy. It would be scopes monkey trial all over again. The only thing protecting religious fundamentalists from annihilation is avoiding public debate. Its an untouchable subject in the press.

Well screw the da** idiots of AIPAC!

Lets build up our media to be far larger than their own.

Who's left in the corporate media establishment that we can target? There's always somebody new who can be targeted.

Its time to seriously, and quite brutally rip apart that media by taking some of them to court using the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE as clearly what the media is supporting is the opposite....

OUR media can now show how their media, is paid for by the same defense firms that created the wars. Those Zionist firms need to be targeted, plucked, and RIPPED using the power of the web!!!!!!

thanks for that. good man.

I look around and ask myself....where have all the good ones gone?

I go out in the world, and honestly, I am not exaggerating, I can seriously say cattle have about the same or perhaps a higher level of consciousness than a lot of people in todays world when it comes to a lot of things.

This doesn't make them bad people, just for the most part highly uninformed about so many things that affect them directly.

that is exactly what we should do. I'd move back to England tomorrow for a job in politics, but how the fuck would one go about doing it? Anyone have any ideas?

There is one thing our society can do that might relieve some of the problem. Rebuild the rail system. The rail system we've got is outdated and underfunded. If we rebuilt the rail system with modern technology we would have much better personal transportation, plus jobs for everybody. Travel by train would use much less fossil fuels than cars and maybe we could even build completely electric trains, and the infrastructure could be modified to generate power from wind or the sun.

If more people had faster and less costly transportation that would mitigate some of our problems with the media because more people would be talking face to face. Better connections would bring better education too as more people would learn the truth of what is going on. It would be easier for everybody to investigate happenings locally and nationally so more people could be a journalists and educators. With less costly and less dangerous transportation fewer people would be injured and more people would have time to spend learning what is really going on. The jobs created by building, maintaining, and operating the new trains as well as jobs created by people being able to move around more fluidly would boost the economy and the failing dollar.

I honestly don't see a down side to rebuilding the trains and railroads. Why hasn't anybody in Congress or the press seriously proposed this? Or maybe they have and I just didn't hear about it.

Lyndon LaRouche is always going on about this. A fine idea. It is what FDR did to get the US out of the Great Depression.

Right on point, Ry. I'm in total agreement.
