Q1. "Can you explain exactly what your definition of winning the war on terror (not limited to Iraq) is, when you think we will 'win', what you think it will cost to 'win', and whether you feel the cost today and in the future is and will continue to be major drain on the economy?"
Moderator - please note this is solely intended to be a question about the candidates views on the impact of the war on terror on our economy (and is not meant to be a foreign policy or Iraq question).
Please help to vote up question 2 - it is quickly moving up - from #148 7 hours ago to #13 now in the 'most popular' section. lets get it to #2. vote it up!!
Q2. "In the Florida debate Senator McCain said "we have american troops all over the world today and nobody complains about it because we are defending freedom. Thats one of the obligations of being the worlds super power."
Do the rest of you agree with Senator McCain and if so, what amount of taxpayer money will you allocate for this obligation?
Do you believe that a majority of American taxpayers also feel this obligation and want to fund the defense of freedoms across the world, while we loose our own."
Q3.#2 on the MOST RECENT tab (at 2:28pm pst). Please help get it to #3.
Question on: Foreign Policy (Not Iraq)
If you believe we need to win the war in Iraq to make progress in the war on terror, do we not need to start and win wars in all countries that harbor Islamic fundamentalists since they are the proclaimed enemy? Do you agree with Senator McCain's statement two weeks ago when he said "I'm sorry to tell you, theres going to be other wars".
Q4.#57 on the MOST POPULAR tab. Please help get it to #4.
"What caused the housing bubble?"
Q5. #44 on the MOST POPULAR tabPlease help get it to #5.
"The Federal Reserve recently propped up the markets with an emergency rate cut, which experts agree will create yet another bubble. Do you believe that the government should continue to delegate the power to control our economy to a private banking institution, that has no congressional oversight?"
No other candidate can answer these questions successfully given their positions on the war.
Heres why..
Q1
1.) The war on terror has no end state. It is a perpetual war. It cannot be won militarily because the more of them we kill, the more spring up, multiplied several times over. History proves that every war against a terrorist network has played out this way.
2.) To admit the war is perpetual is political suicide - they will not admit it. They will say - it will take as long as it will take. People will realize theres no end in sight for this. RP will make that clear when he answers the question.
3.) The key point of the question is the wars financial impact on our economy. No candidate except RP can answer this question without stepping over themselves. If they say the war is not a drain on the economy - the MSM will kill them. If they say it is, they are done.
Q2
1.) It forces yes or no answer to the obligation question -
2.) It picks up both moral and fiscal thinkers
3.) It sets up RP very nicely because of his positions on this
4.) IT EXPOSES McCain
If we keep this question at #1, and #2 and they get asked, we really set the stage for RP to have a huge debate night.
A LOT of thought went into these questions. They are specifically designed to (a) touch two hot button issues - the economy and the war, (b) not be an overtly blatant RP questions (even though we might see it that way) and (c) ensure that candidates who dont answer the question are exposed.
Please help spread the word to vote for this questions. Send this to your facebook/myspace friends, email contacts - who ever you can.

It's an island...you can't close the beach without massive economic damage.
