JERUSALEM —
An Israeli official involved in government public relations has been suspended from his work for writing crude Facebook posts.
A government official said Thursday that Danny Seaman was instructed to stop his work “for now.”
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the matter with reporters. He would not say if Seaman would return to his post. Seaman declined comment.
In one of his posts published by Haaretz newspaper, Seaman said he was “sick” of “self-righteous” Japanese and international commemorations of Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims.
“Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the consequence of Japanese aggression. You reap what you sow,” he said.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ilana Stein said Japan’s embassy sought clarification about the remark. Stein said it did not reflect Israel’s official position
The people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not who were being aggressive they were not military they were civilians over half of them were children. To collectively condemn Japan as a whole for what the military did would be as stupid as saying those self righteous Jews got what they deserved in the Holocaust because a portion of jews led the munitions strikes that caused Germany to lose WWI.

I often wonder what the world would be like if Germany had won world war one.
I still think its dumb for suspending him. His comments speak for themself.

They probably would not have gone anti semitic.Phys wrote: I often wonder what the world would be like if Germany had won world war one.
.
Strange but true fact. The jews in east europe tended to support Germany in WW I. The Germans liberated the jews from restrictions placed on them by the Russian empire. Jews saw the Russian empire as their real enemy in WW I.

I guess now the same is true for world war 3.adesole wrote:They probably would not have gone anti semitic.Phys wrote: I often wonder what the world would be like if Germany had won world war one.

Re: Israeli official suspended for Hiroshima remarks
I think if Germany had won, they would probably go the way of the USSR or Ottoman Empire. I don't think the nation itself would cease to exist, but certainly given all their conquered territories the empire would be so stretched-out that they wouldn't be able to control it all anymore. It would probably end up like the Ottoman Empire, with much of the territories fighting or rallying for independence, and Germany being relegated back to Central Europe.Phys wrote:To collectively condemn Japan as a whole for what the military did would be as stupid as saying those self righteous Jews got what they deserved in the Holocaust because a portion of jews led the munitions strikes that caused Germany to lose WWI.![]()

Re: Israeli official suspended for Hiroshima remarks
no he needed to be suspended. This wasn't just some guy voicing a stupid opinion this was a person working for public relations. This is like saying hundreds of thousands of Iraqi children deserved to die because Saddam was an ass hole.
