Sounds like Lyndon LaRouches plan. A credit system, issued by the government for infrastructure.

It will create inflation, it will make government even bigger. At least now they have to borrow money, imaging if they just created it. It would be corrupted.

I know it's bad now, don't get me wrong. But I'm not to sure that just being able to make it would be any better. Inflation would go crazy, like it will/has in this system.

I watched Money as Debt III yesterday, not a bad film:

It went over this possibility, then strayed off into some personal credit system. There is something systematically wrong with all these ideas, because such a simple thing of "facilitating trade" should be much easier.
