The statistics are sickening. The UN reports approximately 200 million girls in the world today are ‘missing’. India and China are said to eliminate more female infants than the number of girls born in the US each year. Lianyungang in China has the worst infant gender ratio on record with 163 boys born for every 100 girls. Taiwan, South Korea and Pakistan are also countries in which unwanted female babies are aborted, killed or abandoned.
i dont understand why taiwan and s.korea on the list? why aint n.korea on the list?
the truth is there is no solution to this problem, as i see asians living in england with such attitudes who all live comfortably.

actually they are not all really missing or eliminated, people in china just come to japan to have a baby then bring it back to china its away around the one child law, I know a bunch of chinese sister with different last names as well, all they do is simply lie but their orginal name is a missing person.

its only the rich that can do that, china is dirt poor despite all the "next super power" hype.
nor does it explain why taiwan has this problem

Seriously, "parents" do not easily kill their children. No matter what culture. It does happen but those people aren't fit for any society. As ry said, most often they WILL find a way around those cultural rules, rich or poor.

there is no restrictions on how many children you can have in india and pakistan (ya can have a baby every year if you like) but it still does not explain the gender imbalance in nations other then china.

yeah they are not taking air planes to Japan they are coming by boat loads same as refugees do to Florida, and use Japan's universal healthcare to have children free so it doesn't matter that they are poor.
Now if you are actually Japnese not only is it free, they actually pay you to have a child.

yeah thats welfare, for ya first sprog in england ya get £500 at birth, then £20 a week family allowance, £40-£60 child tax credit per week, £1000 tax relief annually for each sprog, fruit, veg, vitamins and milk vouchers if ya low income. do you have anything like that in america?
china has a billion people, how many women can possible go to overcrowded japan to give birth? and i can't believe that the japanese government would allow so many?
indians and pakistanis have no such problem, they can pop sprogs willy nilly and the gov wont do anything, but the gender gap still exists.
