Re: Swiss poised to vote on controversial immigrant law

Even benefit fraudsters and burglars are targeted by the proposed new law, which polls show is likely to be passed in a referendum scheduled for November 28. I imagine they might show some degree of sympathy if you accidentally run a stop sign or something of that nature? Either way good for the Sw...

Re: "Suicide Note," a masterpiece of modern philosophy?

I figure as long as I'm poor as dirt and the government is going to pay for all my classes I might as well cash in on all the tax dollars I've been paying over the l...

Re: i voted stickers

I actually buy into the mentality that you don't really have the right to complain about our government if you don't vote or contribute money directly to political causes. If you don't agree with the two party system and don't want to vote for a Republicrat, that's all the more reason to go vote for...

Re: Pauls re-introduce bill to end the fed

I just posted this video on my face-book along with the following text: To all my liberal friends back in Californa (who comprise the better part of my friends list), While you may be worried about the impact of the election, people all over the country and I have a newfound sense of hope. In Januar...

Actually from what I understand he was considered a pretty bright student and in his 5th year. I definitely disagree with a lot or all of what it says (tbqh some of it is just too complicated for me to understand; I've never taken a philosophy class and am dreading doing so.) The parts I found inter...

"Suicide Note," a masterpiece of modern philosophy?

From the student's campus newspaper: On September 18, Mitchell Heisman blew his brains out with a revolver on the steps of Harvard Memorial Church in front of a tour group of about 30 people. While not noteworthy in and of itself, suicides on campus not being totally unheard of, what is notable abou...

http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/205827/was_stuxnet_built_to_attack_irans_nuclear_program.html A highly sophisticated computer worm that has spread through Iran, Indonesia and India was built to destroy operations at one target: possibly Iran's Bushehr nuclear reactor. That's the emergi...
